Shop News

Hi Friends!
Can you believe it is already November?
Halloween has come and gone and now we are all getting ready for Thanksgiving and thinking about Christmas!!
I have to admit, I've been thinking about Christmas for a while now. With a baby due just a couple of weeks before Christmas you tend to start thinking about gifts and doing some planning early.
With that said, I just wanted to stop by and share my shop closing dates with ya!
I'll be closing down early this year with a sweet little bundle due in 4.5 weeks (yep, I'm counting down).
The last date I'm taking orders is Friday November 15th. If I have any orders to fill at that point, I'll remain open until the last package is shipped away but won't be taking any new orders until I reopen sometime in 2014.
I can't say for sure the date I'll reopen at this point but I'm thinking sometime in January with limited stock as I ease back into life with a new baby and 5 other little ones! Babies like to shake things up and turn your your life upside down in such an awesome way, don't they?
So, with all of that said, if there is anything you have your eye on order soon!
It's been a wonderful  year!
Thank you all and I look forward to what 2014 has to bring for my little shop!

As a thank you to all of my readers, use coupon code THANKYOU15 to save 15% off your order through the evening of November 15th.

Label Love

Hey Y'all!
I'm just stopping by for a quick shop update and some home organization things that I've been up to.
For many many weeks I've had a few labeling projects in the pantry and in my craft room that I knew needed attention.
Well, I finally go to them!
I find sometimes the best way to get something crossed off the list when you feel like you are short on time is to just do it! If it is THAT important to you, then make the time.
With that said, this was important to me. I was tired of sifting through unlabeled jars of this and that to find what I needed. What took a few hours to complete has saved me a lot of time otherwise.

First up the craft room!
(Because craft rooms are just fun and who doesn't love fun?)

My sweet little dollar store aqua bucket got a label upgrade. When I first labeled my adhesive bucket I had used my label maker with some clear label tape. It wasn't bad but a chalkboard label is so much cuter!
This is my small decorative chalkboard label available in my shop!
Next up I added 2" circle chalkboard labels that are a perfect fit on my blue mason jars!
Chalkboard labels on these mason jars are perfect because they hold all of my little odds and ends. When I use up what is in the jar and want to put something new in it all I have to do is wipe it off and relabel!
So much easier than making a new label (even on a label maker) every time!

Now onto the panty!
I also added the 2" circle label to this little mason jar.
I'm sort of on a cinnamon sugar kick in my coffee.
(And oops! I got my "o" and "a" switched in cinnamon! Forgive me? I'm human, too!)
This little jar sits by the coffee maker and just looks so darn cute!
Now for those large mason jars that hold many bags and boxes worth of food items that always end up looking sloppy in the pantry. These are my 3" circle chalkboard labels that are a perfect fit on the wide mouth mason jar lid.
Have you tried the plastic lid for long term storage? I love them. I love not messing with a 2 part lid when I'm cooking. And just like the blue jars in my craft room these labels can be wiped off and quickly relabeled if the contents of the jar change.
Sometimes I don't have pecans on hand but mixed nuts! We live on the wild side around here! Never know what you will find in our pantry! Ha!

And last but not least (this isn't anything new) our canisters have a label. I've had these labels in the shop before and they are back again!
I'm using a new brand of vinyl now and LOVE the extra thick quality.

Happy organizing!
What have you labeled lately?

Lots of news to share around here!

Hello!
Remember me?
It's been a looooooong time since I've posted anything.
Icky morning sickness stopped me in my tracks for many many weeks but FINALLY, I'm starting to feel human again! Still not "over it" but not really sick any more either.
Yep, so that means, I'm pregnant!
And yep, that will bring the total to SIX! :)
(I'll pause for a minute while you catch your breath and probably wondering if we "planned" it this way. It's okay. We've heard it all and see all sorts off facial remarks when people ask if it is our first and we say no or when we are all at Target and realized we are being counted. hehe It's amusing to us now.)
We couldn't be happier to bring another beautiful baby into our family and we like to leave the planning in God's hands. Less pressure on us that way. hehe

So...... :)
Now that I'm back, I'm also having fun restocking my shop
I just listed these super fun chalkboard erasers!
(They also work on dry erase boards, too!)
This cutie is all decked out in her black and white gingham check oil cloth and trimmed with bright orange mini pom poms with some aqua grosgrain ribbon peaking out from under the pom pom trim.

I love the vintage inspired oil cloth prints mixed with the fun mini pom pom trim!
And this little sweet heart? She is dressed up in oil cloth featuring oranges and beautiful yellow flowers! She is trimmed in aqua pom poms with aqua grosgrain ribbon peaking out from under the pom pom trim.

Aren't they just the sweetest? I made one for myself and it not only is functional but also looks adorable sitting out my our chalkboard!

Hope everyone is having a great Summer!
Until later...
Bye!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!

I'm so excited to be doing this post! Today my little etsy shop turns 1!
It has been a wonderful first year and has brought so much joy to my life.
These coasters are the reason my shop opened! A couple of years ago I made them to give as Christmas gifts to family and friends. Everyone loved them and encouraged me to open a shop to sell them. Well, it took me a whole year to get up the courage to take that leap and go for it. I'm so glad that I did. And now, my shop is so much more than coasters!
These chalkboards are the best. I fall in love with them every time I make a new one. In fact, as I have said before, I love them all so much I honestly can't pick a favorite!
This MENU board happens to be my number one seller. It is perfect for writing your dinner menu on or your week's dinner options. Oh, and I should mention the back of all of my chalkboard signs are usable, too! Yep, if you ever need just a blank chalkboard without a word for a party or any reason, reverse the rope and flip it over! How awesome is that? I'm a very practical person and love this practical board. (Makes it easier to justify a seasonal word doesn't it?)
Ahhh, my little baby chalkboard tags! I use these all over my house and studio to label baskets and containers. They are also perfect for name card place settings like in the picture above. They come in sets of 6 but I can always do a custom number if you need more or less- just ask!
HOME pillow cover- year around must!

Thank you to all of my customers, family and friends who have supported and encouraged me during this past year.
